Visitor from the outside world...oooooo...

Yay! Danielle is here and visiting! Poor thing; she's so jet lagged. And I totally understand...I mean, hey, I was totally there. We picked her up at the airport yesterday, which was a bit of an adventure, but surprisingly easy overall. Unfortunately, she forgot her purse on the bus, so the first order of business today was finding that.

Whew...bit of trouble there. We were sent all over Nagoya Station and finally we had to take a bus to the main bus office...and there it was. Everything inside it. Yay! And then they gave us a free ride back to the station. So major kudos go to Emi. *bows* Thanks so much for all your help. You rock!

Then, after a quick lunch at Epi-Ciel, we headed out to Sakae. Today was payday, so it could be a spending day, yay. Heheheh...I finally got my pink Gameboy Advance SP. Super super cute! I brought a game from home, and then picked up a 300 yen copy of Kirby's Dreamland. Heheheheh. Don't need to read Japanese for that. Now I am extremely desirous of the GBA "Kingdom Hearts." Anyway, here it is. The cool thing about the GBA is that it plays Japanese and American games, unlike the unmodded PS2 and Gamecube and all that.

At Volks, we talked to Mayumi. Danielle's contemplating getting an MSD. *cheers* Anyway, Mayumi has actually been studying English so that she can talk to us. So cute! You have no idea how cute it was when she told us, "Let's get together." We almost melted. She's so awesome! I picked up a new wig and pair of eyes for Thomas. Hehehe....I want to make him devil horns to wear with it. I have also decided that I seriously need to make him some sort of black shirt. He has no shirts! And that makes me feel guilty.

I'm rather in love with this look for him...and he's supposed to be a redhead! Ah!!

Lastly...we finally broke down, went to Vodafone, and got cell phones. These are the bottom of the line models, but they come with standard camera, which includes a macro setting, video camera option, fm radio, text messaging, voice mail, blah blah blah. Mine is a dark gold tone and I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to decorate it. Hmm....anyway, I'll be sending out my phone number shortly. And you guys calling me doesn't use up my minutes...but you will be paying for calling a cell phone and for international, so it will be expensive. The camera is a slide phone, rather than a flip phone. Pretty interesting, really.

So, all in all, not a bad day. :) A little stressing at times, but not bad. I'm bummed about having to work tomorrow, blah. Ah well! Weekends are always too short. But cheers for my super electronics day! Don't you wish you were me? ;)

Hi Mandy, It was nice to talk to you on your new phone. I'm glad to hear that your friend found her handbag. That was certainly lucky. Have a good week. Love, Mom
