More pics!
Today we went to Nagoya Castle and Pokepark, the Pokemon theme park. Nagoya Castle had a lot of pavillions and promotions and whatnot because of the Expo. The most noteable thing was that the golden dolphins from the castle roof had been taken down to be put on exhibit, leaving the castle looking kinda... unimpressive. They put them into this dome-sort-of-thing exhibition area with a lot of information. Then they allowed people to file through and touch them. This is a huge deal, as the dolphins haven't been down off the roof of the castle since the castle was rebuilt in... 1959, I think? Anyway, we petted the golden dolphins and went on our way. They didn't allow any pictures, unfortunately... and didn't sell any postcards even of the dolphins.
Two pop stars are promoting the Nagoya Castle Dolphin exhibit. You can put your head in a cutout of them.
This caused great confusion to the locals.

And then we went to Pokepark, the Pokemon themepark. It was pretty cool. Definitely cuteness overload. My new favorite pictures of Mandy and Justin are among the thumbnails below.
