Orchids!

We went to the orchid garden today. It was very awesome.

There were many pictures from it. Enough that I don't feel like thumbnailing them. So I present for you this directory.

Wheeee.

Today we got a Christmas tree. A 60 cm high, fiber optic Christmas tree. It's glorious in a seizure-inducing, commercialized way. I really quite love it. I'll post pics in a week or two, once we have all the presents and whatnot under it.

Mandy is in rapture over a video she bought today at Book Off ("No, YOU book off!"). It's a Gackt concert, the Mars concert. We had thought it would be music videos, but here it is, the concert. So far, it's weird. Gackt is singing like a castrato and floating through sheets. Mm... okay. Now he's singing normally. He's such an angst muffin.

This is the first weekend of my new schedule... tomorrow I'll be at Mandylope's branch for a help shift. I'll be there for a month of Saturdays, possibly longer. I hope I'll continue to be on help shifts on Saturdays. As it stands, with my schedule, I'll only have to see my AT one day a week at my own branch.

The Gackt video just got surreal. There are probably 10 people on stage in big plushy animal costumes, dancing. And a horde of skinny men in tutus just ran on.

I decided that this week, I'd take pictures of common sights for me. So here you go.

Most of the pics are pretty self-explanatory. There are two I want to give descriptions for, though.
First, the one of the restaurant with the crab. The crab is probably 6 feet across, sculptural and... moving. The legs are jointed and they move, as do the claws. This is a seafood-ish super expensive restaurant, from what I can tell.
Oh, and the sign for the tattoo place. Told you exists, Becklet.
And the other is the shrine. It's taken near Osu, which is an unusual area because of the mix of traditional and modern Japan.
